Teaching and workshops

Since graduating at Goldsmiths in 1991 in Fine Art and Art History I have been teaching, approximately 32 years, in various ways. Once I gave up my city job and moved out of town I launched into regular teaching work and painting.

My teaching experience includes teaching silk-painting at a montessori nursery, a series of workshops for year 7s, 1:1 tutoring for portfolio development, A Level tuition and regular teaching at a local church group of up to 26 people ages18 - 96. I also ran my own painting and drawing courses at Chiddingstone Castle, and various life drawing sessions locally. In 2013 I started to volunteer at a performing arts college for young adults with disability. Soon enough I became a learning support assistant and then completed a PGCE becoming the main art teacher there in my first term of studies.

Having relocated from Kent to Dorset I have been painting full time for two years and am now in a position to offer 1:1 tuition and workshops. If this is something you would like me to do then please do get in touch.

Here is a picture of me setting up for a ceramics picnic with Avon Valley Community Matters, care of Culture in Common and Energize Me.

The image shows a female - the artist at a table in a field. On the table are various tools and stems and a lump of clay is at each workstation
